Responsibilities

- Ensure systems meet security, compliance, and audit requirements
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support application deployment and performance
- Monitor system health and respond to incidents with urgency and precision
- Optimize cloud resource usage to balance cost and performance
- Lead initiatives to improve reliability, availability, and scalability
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Enforce infrastructure-as-code practices using modern configuration tools
- Contribute to technical decision-making and architectural reviews
- Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems
- Mentor engineers in cloud best practices and operational discipline
- Drive adoption of observability and monitoring solutions
- Evaluate and integrate new cloud technologies and services
- Maintain documentation for systems and operational procedures
- Participate in on-call rotations for critical infrastructure support
- Ensure change management processes are followed rigorously
- Work closely with security teams to proactively address threats
- Support compliance audits and implement necessary controls
- Improve deployment pipelines for faster and safer releases
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers
- Plan capacity needs based on usage trends and growth forecasts
