Jobgether is looking for a Staff Civil Engineer 2 to contribute to advanced pavement engineering research and civil infrastructure projects. You will join a remote-friendly, collaborative team focused on developing innovative solutions for transportation infrastructure through independent research and project leadership.
What You'll Do
- Serve in multiple project roles, progressing from project engineer to task leader, subject matter expert, and project manager.
- Conduct literature reviews, analyze data, and generate high-quality technical reports.
- Design and implement mechanistic models and innovative solutions for pavement systems.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
- Support business development through proposal writing, conference participation, and client presentations.
- Engage in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and maintain professionalism.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering with a focus on pavement engineering.
- Expertise in pavement engineering, pavement materials, and geotechnical engineering.
- Proficiency in mechanistic modeling of pavements and coding languages.
- U.S. citizenship with a DoD security clearance, or ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of statistics, data analysis, and experience with statistical software.
- Experience with peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
