Oscilar is hiring a Sr./Staff Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure powering our SaaS platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver highly reliable, low latency, and scalable services for our global enterprise clients.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance, low-latency backend services using Java and AWS technologies.
• Collaborate with product management, frontend, and QA teams to define technical requirements and ensure smooth platform integration.
• Optimize and enhance existing services for maximum performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Identify and resolve system bottlenecks to ensure optimal resource utilization and stability.
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Proactively monitor health and performance of backend services, taking actions to mitigate issues.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in backend software development, with a focus on Java and AWS technologies.
• Strong experience building and operating low latency, high scale services in a distributed environment.
• Proficient in Java programming, with a deep understanding of its ecosystem and related frameworks.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and distributed data systems (Kafka, Clickhouse).
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and a strong understanding of security best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven, Gradle) and agile development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a strong ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
