Role Overview
We are expanding our strategic transport modelling capability to meet rising demand across key regions including the UK, Ireland, the Middle East, and Australia. As a Senior Transport Modeller, you will play a central role in shaping and refining transport models that inform critical infrastructure decisions. You'll work within a technically focused team committed to innovation, accuracy, and sustainable urban mobility solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, calibrate, and validate strategic transport models to support long-term planning initiatives
- Analyse model outputs to identify trends, evaluate scenarios, and support decision-making
- Generate clear and accurate technical documentation and reports
- Share expertise and support the professional growth of junior team members
- Adopt emerging methodologies and software tools to enhance modelling practices
- Present findings and contribute to project discussions with technical clarity
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Between 5 and 10 years of hands-on experience in transport modelling
- Proven experience with modelling platforms such as SATURN, CUBE, VISUM, or EMME
- Strong data analysis skills using spreadsheets, databases, and scripting languages
- Proficiency in Python, R, or VBA for automating data workflows
- Working knowledge of GIS and spatial analysis tools
- Ability to interpret and communicate results from quantitative transport models
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Background
- Familiarity with UK transport appraisal guidance, including TAG standards
- Experience with economic evaluation tools such as TUBA, COBALT, or QUADRO
