Join Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors as a Sr. Solutions Engineer. This remote role (California) combines deep technical knowledge with client-facing strategy, focusing on delivering secure, high-performing digital applications. You will serve as a trusted advisor, translating complex technical concepts into actionable solutions that drive business outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Support sales teams with technical expertise, providing detailed solution designs, demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept.
- Articulate product strategy, messaging, and value propositions, aligning solutions to customer business objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their technical and business challenges to propose effective solutions.
- Mentor and educate internal teams on the technical and business benefits of our solutions.
- Map customer organizations, identify technical decision-makers, and drive the technical validation process.
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal technical and sales teams, sharing best practices and contributing expertise across opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a solutions engineering or technical pre-sales role.
- Hands-on experience with traffic management and load-balancing technologies (e.g., F5, Citrix, Riverbed, Kemp).
- Strong knowledge of HTTP, web servers, web applications, and associated protocols (TCP/IP, SSL, SMTP, DNS).
- Proficiency in Linux/UNIX systems and networking technologies, including internet security products and services.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern architectures such as microservices, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience with API development/management and DevOps tools and processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and guide customers.

- Relevant certifications or experience deploying similar industry solutions.
