Exact Sciences is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer II - Integrations to join our mission-driven effort to change lives by providing earlier, smarter answers in cancer detection and treatment. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of multiple complex software applications, acting as a technical lead and mentor.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design, development, and testing of multiple complex software applications.
- Create expert design concepts and perform debugging.
- Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and mentor junior team members.
- Troubleshoot issues and problems of high complexity for major software applications.
- Act as a Technical Lead for the team, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
- Design lasting applications while working with product teams.
- Take full ownership of quality and difficult designs.
- Build successful internal partnerships with peers, SMEs, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
- Manage vendor and external partnerships.
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends, as needed.
- Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Model inclusive behaviors for the organization.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Engineering; or a High School Diploma/General Education Degree and 12 years of relevant experience.
- Expert in 1 or more object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience with RESTful web services, Relational Databases (Postgres, SQL Server), and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate, Entities Framework).
- Experience designing and developing apps that access and or utilize cloud-based frameworks (e.g., Azure, Amazon AWS Services/SDKs, etc.).
- Experience with Agile development tools; including, but not limited to, JIRA, Confluence repository.
- Experience with C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL, PL/SQL, .NET, Google Web Toolkit.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Nice to Have
- Ability to code in Python at an expert level.
- Experience with Next Generation Sequencing data analysis tools and workflows.

- Compensation: $121,000.00 – $206,000.00
