Hims & Hers is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer, Front End to join our Fulfillment and Pharmacy Software Engineering team. You will design, build, and support the self-service platform that powers pharmacy operations and customer order fulfillment, ensuring it is reliable, scalable, and adaptable to evolving business needs.
What You'll Do
- Independently design and implement large-complexity, scalable, maintainable, and performant front-end solutions aligned with product and operational needs.
- Partner closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver intuitive, customer-focused user experiences.
- Break down complex problems into digestible, actionable implementation plans.
- Write high-quality, well-tested, and resilient code using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
- Contribute and lead architectural decisions within your team and ensure high-quality designs through active participation in design and code reviews.
- Define and implement testing strategies and ensure strong test coverage for new features and critical workflows.
- Lead efforts to enhance system observability by implementing monitoring strategies that support reliability, performance, and proactive issue resolution.
- Proactively identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and advocate for team process improvements.
- Give guidance to junior engineers on engineering best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with demonstrated growth in ownership and impact.
- Proficiency in modern front-end technologies and frameworks: React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools (GitHub Actions).
- Solid understanding of system design principles, testing strategies, and operational best practices.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with a willingness to navigate ambiguity, unblock teammates, and drive clarity.
Nice to Have
- Experience with NextJS, Storybook, Cypress.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute across both client- and server-side technologies.
- Proficiency with hosting front ends and web applications on Kubernetes and AWS.
- Familiarity with front end observability via Datadog.
