Disney is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Developer Productivity team within Disney Entertainment & ESPN Product & Technology. In this role, you'll build developer-facing tools and batteries-included frameworks that empower engineers across Disney Streaming, packaging services to make them intuitive and accessible.
What You'll Do
- Develop tools and frameworks that empower other engineers across the organization
- Partner with the UX design team to transform mock-ups into components, pages, and applications
- Join forces with other DPE teams to provide a more user-friendly experience for their services and data
- Collaborate with Product Managers to scope features, identify technical implementation, and ensure we're building the right tools effectively
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in Web technologies, including Javascript/TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS
- Strong passion for building stable, well-tested applications and packages in a collaborative environment
- 3 years developing large, well-tested applications
- Excellent debugging skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiasm for new technologies, languages, frameworks, and platforms
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
Nice to Have
- Experience with GraphQL
- Experience working with Agile methodologies
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, and/or Terraform
- Experience with other popular languages (Node, Go, Java, Scala, Python)
- Experience with internal tools

- Compensation: $123,000 - $165,000 for New York City and Seattle, WA
