Moog is hiring a Senior Quality Engineer to plan and execute cost-effective quality processes that meet or exceed contractual requirements and protect Moog and its customers. You will have a measurable impact on business performance by promoting the highest standards of quality for our complex hardware.
What You'll Do
- Be responsible for quality success on program teams in meeting contractual requirements and driving crucial quality-related decisions for customers.
- Collaborate with global partners to gather insights, resolve challenges, meet program requirements, and maintain consistent, transparent communication with customers.
- Improve production by conducting Quality Engineering studies, recommending design changes, and providing quality support to manufacturing personnel.
- Facilitate cross-functional teams through problem-solving activities including failure analysis, root cause and corrective action analysis, risk mitigation, material review, customer & governmental interface, audit support configuration control, and traceability.
- Develop Quality plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly & test processes, and final inspection.
- Work directly with customers and suppliers to identify root cause and corrective action.
- Improve cost for inspection and prevent cost due to failure through statistical analysis and problem solving.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent STEM field.
- 8 years of professional work experience in Engineering or Manufacturing.
- Proficiency with statistical, spreadsheet, and database software packages.
Nice to Have
- 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
