Cognizant is looking for a Sr. Platform Engineer to ensure the operational stability and performance of a critical enterprise data platform.
What You'll Do
- Provide operational support, monitoring, and stability for an enterprise-scale AWS-based data lakehouse platform.
- Support real-time and batch data pipelines built on Confluent Kafka, Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Apache Airflow, dbt, and Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio.
- Perform L1/L1.5 support for ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and analytics workloads.
- Troubleshoot failed Glue jobs, dbt runs, Airflow DAGs, Kafka connectors, and SageMaker pipelines.
- Manage access and security using AWS IAM.
- Monitor platform health and costs.
- Respond to incidents and alerts and perform root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering, cloud, and analytics teams to resolve issues and implement platform improvements in a secure, scalable AWS lakehouse architecture.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms in AWS.
- Hands-on experience with operational support (L1/L1.5) for data pipelines.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration tools.
- Experience monitoring platform health, performance, and costs.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, cloud, and analytics teams.
