Bechtel is looking for a Senior Pipe Support Engineer to take on a lead role in locating and designing supports for complex piping systems. You'll ensure designs meet standards and codes while guiding the work of designers and drafters on significant engineering, procurement, and construction projects.
What You'll Do
- Lead or administer the work of PD&P designers and drafters, including the creation of layouts, study drawings, and detailed 2D/3D CAD models.
- Develop complete and complex 3D model equipment layouts and pipe designs with minimal supervision.
- Prepare or assist with assigned material requisitions and bid evaluations.
- Monitor work for compliance with approved design standards to ensure quality, safety, and construction economy.
- Participate in constructability reviews.
- Prepare design and drafting procedures to standardize the design effort.
- Coordinate or conduct jobsite visits to resolve problems and interpret drawings and documents.
- Review PD&P design scope changes for project management as required.
- Endorse or prepare reports on work progress for project and discipline use.
- Ensure all PD&P systems designs comply with applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards.
What We're Looking For
- Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without Bechtel visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the site), and background check verifying employment and education.
- Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.
- Note: Non-U.S. citizens from countries identified by the Department of Energy as posing heightened security concerns are subject to additional security requirements.
- Familiarity with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $90,990 - $160,220 annually. Determined by function, education, experience, and qualifications.
