Responsibilities
- Develop accurate PCB component footprints in compliance with IPC-SM-782 and manufacturer specifications.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, PCB design peers, and manufacturing personnel to develop new products and support existing ones.
- Design multi-layer PCB stack-ups ranging from 4 to 16 layers.
- Define mechanical board outlines and establish keepout zones.
- Determine signal routing topologies and apply design constraints using the Allegro Constraint Manager.
- Perform component placement and route PCBs, including differential pairs and controlled impedance traces with precise length matching.
- Generate detailed documentation, including fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Prepare and release Gerber files along with a full PCB release package.
- Lead placement and post-layout review sessions and support schematic and DFM reviews.
- Stay current with evolving industry standards and technologies to enhance tools and workflows.
