Solidigm is hiring a Component Design Engineer

About the Role

Solidigm is looking for a Component Design Engineer to be responsible for designing DFT circuits and firmware for our innovative 3D NAND flash memory. You will be a key member of our collaborative engineering team, focusing on performance and quality.

What You'll Do

  • Design DFT circuits for innovative 3D NAND flash memory.
  • Develop complex DFT firmware for test time reduction and better test coverage.
  • Run simulations to validate designed circuits.
  • Collaborate within design functional teams to design new test modes and improve existing test circuits.
  • Responsible for first Si DFT debug.
  • Work with product engineering and manufacturing teams for test mode validation and test time reduction.
  • Design and development of electronic components.
  • Design of chip layout circuit design, circuit checking, device evaluation and characterization, and documentation of specifications.
  • Build prototypes and perform checkout, modification, and evaluation of semiconductor devices and components.
  • Perform developmental and/or test work, reviewing product requirements and logic diagrams.
  • Plan and organize design projects or phases of design projects.
  • Respond to customer/client requests or events as they occur.
  • Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.

What We're Looking For

  • At least seven years of logic design experience with a bachelor's degree, or at least five years with a master's degree.
  • Expertise in RTL code and proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl, Make, and automation methods/algorithms.
  • Experience with firmware development.
  • Understanding of mixed signal and analog circuits.
  • Experience using logic simulation tools like runsim and verdi.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools like hspice or XA.
  • Experience using schematic editors like virtuoso.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with layout tools.
  • Ability to work independently to solve pre/post silicon issues.

Team & Environment

You will collaborate within design functional teams and work closely with product engineering and manufacturing teams.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation range: $121,280 - $221,700

Work Mode

This is a hybrid position based in San Jose, California or Sacramento, California.
