Community Health Network is hiring a Senior Patient Care Technician to join our care team. This role works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, providing essential hands-on care and support to patients. You will be a key collaborator in delivering the exceptional, simply delivered care that is central to our mission.
What You'll Do
- Perform direct patient care including bathing, assisting with elimination, bed making, and taking vital signs.
- Transport patients and patient-related materials in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
- Greet and orient patients to the patient care area.
- Perform meal service and feeding assistance functions.
- Provide additional select care to patients as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to perform other services as directed.
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to use a computer for documentation and work-related purposes.
- Strong written, verbal, and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skills.
- Demonstrates accountability for own actions and provides service in a willing and courteous manner.
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task effectively.
- Able to take direction well, while also being self-directed and motivated.
- Requires a high degree of responsibility and responsiveness.
- Ability to deal effectively with patients, visitors, situations, and other Care Team members while maintaining emotional control.
- Must be able to lift patients and equipment as required.
- Must be available for one week of full-time training.
- Three (3) months of Clinical Experience or CNA license required, OR you must be currently enrolled in Nursing school.
