Shift4 is looking for a Sr Manager, QA Engineer - R&D to lead a team of QA professionals dedicated to ensuring the quality and reliability of our complex, business-critical online payments applications. You will work hands-on with manual and API testing, troubleshoot system issues, and participate in all phases of the development process.
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers.
- Drive high performance and support professional growth.
- Design, document, and execute complex test scenarios.
- Participate in the development process from the design phase.
- Ensure compliance with Agile methodologies and best testing practices.
- Provide regular reports and updates on test progress, defects, and overall system quality.
- Contribute to building and testing a cutting-edge product using the latest technologies.
What We're Looking For
- 3-4 years as a manual QA team leader.
- 3 years in manual testing of complex, online, business-critical applications.
- Proficiency with SQL, RDBMS, and Linux.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, or similar).
- Solid understanding of API concepts, including HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE), status codes, request/response structures, headers, and authentication methods (OAuth, API keys).
- Proven ability to read and analyze logs to diagnose system faults.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Prior experience in the payment industry.
