Mobilitas is hiring a Sr. Litigation Adjuster to manage complex litigated claims from start to finish, including trial. You will be responsible for providing direction to defense counsel and making key decisions on settlement authority and case resolution, all while balancing defense costs and indemnity.
What You'll Do
- Complete analysis of claims, examining facts of the loss and other applicable factors.
- Create discovery plans, including depositions, expert retention, and Independent Medical Exams (IMEs) for minor to extremely complex claims.
- Interact directly with defense counsel, providing direction and authority for resolution while balancing defense costs and indemnity.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of liability, damages, coverage, and risk to assess for individual settlement authority up to $50,000.
- Collaborate with defense counsel on negotiation strategy and represent the company at mediations and settlement conferences.
- Authorize, approve, and monitor budgets for outside counsel and analyze defense expenses using bill review software.
- Prepare and present case recommendations to local and executive management for review.
- Secure authority up to the highest levels for case resolution.
What We're Looking For
- A total of 6-7 years of claims experience with a minimum of 2-4 years in a Senior Casualty role or equivalent complex casualty/litigation experience.
- At least 1 year of specific litigation experience.
- Proficiency or ability to quickly gain proficiency in handling minor, moderate, and complex litigated claims.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and independent work skills.
- Strong decision-making ability and an extensive understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to travel and work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills for presenting complex facts to executive management.
- Strong math skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to type at least 30 wpm.
- A HS/GED or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a casualty claims role within the P&C insurance industry.
Nice to Have
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
- A BA/BS in business, insurance, or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Total compensation package with a salary range of $89,865.00-$119,800.00.
