TD Bank is looking for a Senior IT Support Analyst to take on a lead role providing IT support and incident management for critical applications and systems. You'll be responsible for the controlled resolution of incidents, ensuring service availability, implementing changes, and improving overall production stability.
What You'll Do
- Perform controlled resolution of incidents and problems, including prioritization and escalation.
- Service applications and systems to meet or exceed established availability standards.
- Partner with stakeholders to schedule, package, and release new applications.
- Continuously improve production environment stability through setup, maintenance, and monitoring.
- Provide effective day-to-day support with accurate problem identification and timely resolution.
- Ensure timely notification and escalation of possible issues or problems.
- Deliver effective, defect-free support by researching system issues and maintaining documentation.
- Design, review, and integrate all application requirements (functional, security, integration, performance).
- Identify and address application, data, and cross-capability issues.
- Schedule and implement changes with proper testing, stakeholder signoff, and minimal business impact.
- Develop working relationships with 3rd party vendors as required.
- Manage all application releases according to approved governance and gating criteria.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to Developers and Solution Designers.
- Be responsible for 2nd level incident management, monthly maintenance, monitoring, and SLA maintenance.
- Perform the incident management role (communicator, tracker, escalator, driver) for outages.
- Monitor system lifecycles and undertake re-development as required.
- May monitor environment performance using meaningful metrics.
- Provide Disaster Recovery support and participate in testing.
- Assess and analyze optimization opportunities to improve performance and resource utilization.
- Ensure effective change management discipline is used.
- Adhere to existing processes, standards, architecture, risk, and capacity guidelines.
- Follow standards for Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and Business Recovery Plans (BRP).
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance revenue, customer experience, or reduce costs.
- Comply with enterprise technology delivery practices, standards, and project management disciplines.
- Make effective use of cost management processes.
- Continuously enhance knowledge in TD services, applications, infrastructure, and tools.
- Keep current with industry and business trends.
- May perform testing according to test plans and monitor/report on results.
- Support development of business cases, RFI/RFP, and service level agreements with vendors.
- Work effectively as a team, supporting other members in resolving critical service issues.
- Prioritize and manage your own workload to deliver quality results and meet timelines.
- Support a positive work environment promoting service, quality, innovation, and teamwork.
- Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business units.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- An undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Mandatory knowledge of the SAS programming language.
- Knowledge of Mainframe platforms (JCL, AWF Scheduling, Endevor).
- Overall knowledge of Rahona/Cloud environments.
- Experience running ETL jobs.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory.
- Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
- Proficiency with Visual Studio Code.
- The successful candidate will be required to join an on-call rotation.
