Gartner is hiring a Senior Director Analyst to act as an industry thought leader within our Business and Technology Insights group. You will focus exclusively on the impact of artificial intelligence on HR and the workforce, creating authoritative insights for CHROs and HR leaders.
What You'll Do
- Create innovative, thought-provoking 'must-have' insights and best practices in multiple formats (writing, video, infographics, podcasts).
- Develop new insights through thought leadership and offer compelling, actionable advice for client needs.
- Perform in-depth analysis to identify root causes of client barriers and reframe thinking to advance strategy.
- Demonstrate thought leadership in establishing insights positions across a team of analysts.
- Bring provocative, independent insights to Gartner leaders to evolve research agendas.
- Research, analyze, and predict market trends in the AI-driven HR technology space.
- Deliver individualized advice rooted in data to CHROs and senior HR leaders through video presentations.
- Create and deliver high-value presentations for Gartner events, industry conferences, and client briefings.
- Support the Business and Technology Insights and Sales teams by providing market intelligence.
- Provide high-quality, timely peer review of content.
- Build credibility as an industry expert representing Gartner insights and methodology.
- Actively participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions, collaborating effectively.
- Identify research process improvements to enhance service delivery.
- Mentor and coach more junior team members.
- Maintain a client-centric focus, encouraging regular client engagement with Gartner insights.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of relevant field experience in HR functional and/or technology leadership roles.
- Profound understanding of the challenges CHROs face and familiarity with their workflows and priorities.
- Experience successfully designing, implementing, and managing HR AI strategies and initiatives.
- Deep first-hand knowledge of the HR tech landscape, market dynamics, vendors, and emerging AI use cases.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to immediately establish credibility with senior leaders.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high-quality work.
- Demonstrated excellence in research and writing.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing data, applying patterns and frameworks, and drawing conclusions.
- Ability to explain complex concepts concisely and simply.
- Comfort presenting at both large and small-scale speaking engagements.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Deep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within the subject area.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multicultural, global teams.
- Learning agility and adeptness at navigating highly matrixed environments.
- Ability to represent Gartner's research methodology and strategies effectively at all levels.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.

- Compensation range: $172,000 - $202,500 USD.
