Responsibilities
- Lead key aspects of the engineering team in the design and development of unmanned aircraft systems and related components.
- Engage in the creation and testing of prototypes to verify design performance and feasibility.
- Exercise sound judgment in resolving engineering challenges and coordinating with diverse technical teams.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of vehicle designs, from initial concept to finalized production-ready configurations.
- Deliver formal and informal presentations on design approaches and outcomes.
- Apply engineering and scientific principles to evaluate design shortcomings and assess the effects of proposed modifications.
- Make critical design decisions that satisfy both specified and inferred system requirements.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective completion of assigned engineering tasks.
- Mentor team members in technical disciplines and reinforce organizational values.
- Perform finite element and computational fluid dynamics simulations on aircraft structures and propulsion systems.
- Design airframes and other mechanical components with aerodynamic considerations.
- Serve as a technical liaison between internal teams and external customers during concept development.
- Travel as needed to support project objectives.
- Maintain consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with the established work schedule.
- Demonstrate professional conduct with internal and external stakeholders in alignment with company policies.
