About the Role
This position involves delivering speech and language support services under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist, with a focus on bilingual clients requiring services in Spanish and English.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing individualized therapy plans developed by licensed clinicians
- Work directly with clients to practice communication skills in both Spanish and English
- Support documentation of client progress and session notes
- Conduct structured activities aligned with therapeutic goals
- Maintain accurate records of client attendance and participation
- Communicate client progress and observations to supervising clinicians
- Adapt materials for bilingual use to support language development
- Follow ethical and professional guidelines in all client interactions
- Participate in regular supervision meetings with licensed staff
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality and privacy standards
- Use teletherapy platforms to deliver remote services effectively
- Engage families in the therapeutic process with culturally responsive practices
- Prepare therapy materials and resources for scheduled sessions
- Monitor client engagement and adjust activities as needed
- Report any concerns about client well-being promptly
- Support assessment preparation under clinician direction
- Maintain professionalism in virtual and written communications
- Stay current with best practices in speech-language support services
