AECON - Aecon Group Inc. is hiring a Specialist, Field Operations. Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing IT support to remote job sites, managing network infrastructure, and ensuring the successful completion of help desk requests. You will play a key role in supporting all Aecon field activities throughout their lifecycle, from initial setup to demobilization.
What You'll Do
- Capture clear site requirements and collaborate with the Estimator and Manager on quotes.
- Design and manage complete job site setups, including network diagrams, cabling, workstations, and video-conference rooms, engaging internal teams and vendors.
- Manage sites through their entire lifecycle, from mobilization to demobilization, overseeing proper IT equipment decommissioning.
- Keep all site records, diagrams, and documentation accurate and up-to-date in the CMDB.
- Work with Aecon’s Joint Venture partners, taking a lead role in providing IT support services.
- Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing and Procurement teams to source cost-effective equipment.
- Provide rotating on-site support visits to all Aecon job sites, including remote locations.
- Help coordinate quality standards and ensure public company compliance.
- Adhere to Aecon’s IT Services Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines.
What We're Looking For
- A degree or diploma in Information Services or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated experience with multiple technologies including HP, Citrix, Cisco, and Microsoft.
- Familiarity with ITIL Foundations, Microsoft platforms, Networking, and Citrix & Virtualization.
- Working knowledge of Windows 11, MS Office 365 products, Microsoft 365 Administration, and Active Directory.
- Experience with Incident Management, Problem Management, Knowledge Management, Change Management, or Service Level Management.
- The ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to access to nuclear facilities and information governed by U.S. federal regulations.
