NICE Ltd. is looking for a Specialist Cloud Network Engineer to evaluate current and emerging cloud technologies, collaborating with DevOps and business units to set and ensure the implementation of best practices. You will work across AWS, Azure, GCP, and private cloud environments.
What You'll Do
- Research and evaluate Cloud technologies to address current and future needs.
- Establish repeatable design strategies and automation.
- Manage CloudFormation updates using JSON/YAML, Resource Manager, and Deployment Manager.
- Review design and implementation plans from fellow architects and engineers.
- Act as an escalation point for deep technical analysis and complex problem-solving.
- Function as a technical lead on projects of any size as necessary.
- Communicate detailed technical information in both written and verbal form across a wide range of audiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues, customers, and vendors to understand and develop architectural solutions.
- Develop a sound understanding of existing systems, their strengths and limitations, and the future needs of the environment.
- Explain interactions between systems, applications, and services, and evaluate the impact of changes.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of solutions or products, including requirements definition and vendor evaluations.
- Act as a local expert for areas of domain expertise and as an internal consultant across multiple business units.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of work experience within an internetworking environment.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Experience dealing with Infrastructure as Code.
- Scripting experience with JSON/YAML for CloudFormation.
- Expert-level experience with Palo Alto and F5 load balancers.
- Expert-level experience with network switching and routing.
- Extensive knowledge of networking technologies, topologies, and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, SNMP, Multicast, VRRP, HSRP).
- Expert-level understanding of internetworking technologies, including netflow/sflow, access-control lists, policy routing, firewalls, peering, and DNS.
- Significant OSPF and BGP design, implementation, and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with MPLS environments.
- Experience with Authentication services such as TACACS+, RADIUS, and RSA SecurID.
- Working knowledge of IPV6.
- Intermediate Visio skills.
- Working knowledge of SIP.
- Experience working with Management Systems and SNMP.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- A demonstrated history of learning new technologies and adapting them to solve complex problems.
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
