Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Engineer - Splunk. You will join a dynamic pre-sales team as the primary technical advisor for customers and their technical advocate within Splunk. This highly motivated, results-oriented role partners closely with sales to drive strategic plans.
What You'll Do
- Partner with the regional sales team to develop strategic and technical account and territory plans.
- Demonstrate Splunk’s products and solutions to customers either on-site or remotely, focusing on value-based differentiators.
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
- Eliminate sales obstacles using creative and adaptive approaches.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of related experience in selling and supporting software products to IT organizations.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Nice to Have
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas to all levels of the business.
- Strong technical fundamentals in a relevant part of IT or Security markets (e.g., networking, systems administration, development, operations).
- Familiarity with programming or scripting (e.g., C/C++, Shell, Perl, Python).
- Knowledge of “Big Data” technologies (e.g., Map-Reduce, Hadoop, HBase, Cloudera, Cassandra).
- Availability to travel to visit prospects and customers in the region.
- A desire to learn, grow, and be a part of an expanding team.
- Living in the DC Area or Atlanta.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or substantial relevant on-the-job experience.

- Compensation: $217,200.00 to $274,100.00 + equity (Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units)

- 1 paid day off for employee’s birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness
- Non-exempt employees receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year
- Exempt employees participate in Cisco’s flexible vacation time off program
- 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter
- Additional paid time away may be requested for critical family issues
- Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer
- For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses
