Twilio is hiring a Solutions Engineer fluent in French for the Communications EMEA team. This technical pre-sales role focuses on delivering technical wins and ensuring product fit for customers across the region. You will build customer trust and act as a trusted advisor.
What You'll Do
- Work alongside Twilio Account Executives, other Solutions Engineers, and partners through the pre-sales process to strategize and plan for deal success.
- Build successful business partnerships with Account Executives, focusing on business discovery and communicating the business value of Twilio solutions.
- Participate in qualification, discovery, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concept, RFP responses, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
- Lead technical discovery sessions with customers to uncover their needs and articulate Twilio's ability to enable their success.
- Build and present powerful presentations and complex product demos to showcase Twilio Communications products.
- Form an understanding of a customer's business to help solve identified problems and uncover areas of opportunity.
- Build trusted advisor relationships at high customer levels and present creative new solutions and architectures.
- Contribute to the wider Solutions Engineer community by sharing knowledge, building demo assets, and reusable presentations.
What We're Looking For
- At least 3 years in a technical pre-sales role in CPaaS, SaaS, or Telecom.
- Solid understanding of the sales cycle and the role of a pre-sales engineer.
- Solid understanding of voice protocols (VoIP), SIP implementations, or messaging APIs.
- Creativity and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with others to drive success.
- An engaging storyteller able to communicate complex topics to multiple levels of technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to ask the right questions to build a deep understanding of customer needs and guide them to a technical solution.
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and cloud application architectures.
- Experience writing code in one or more of the following areas: Backend (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP) or Web (JS, React).
- Experience with designing and consuming REST APIs.
- Fluent French speaker.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with backend development (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP, etc).
- Familiarity with Mobile development, especially for iOS and Android.
- Previous experience in Telecommunications, SIP, WebRTC, or Contact Centre in a technical role.
- Experience with automation, cloud-native development, and skills with a major cloud platform.
- Experience with sales methodologies.
- Fluency in additional languages (French or German).
