As a Software QA - Manual Mobile Tester, you'll play a key role in maintaining product integrity by performing detailed manual and exploratory testing across mobile and embedded environments. Your work will ensure seamless functionality between client applications, firmware, and hardware components across multiple platforms.
What You'll Do
- Create, maintain, and execute functional test cases, including data validation and test documentation.
- Conduct white-box and black-box testing to verify features and catch edge-case defects.
- Investigate system and crash logs using tools like Splunk to trace root causes of failures.
- Test communication between devices and clients using MQTT, HTTP, and RTSP protocols.
- Validate connectivity via Wi-Fi, BLE, and Ethernet in real-world scenarios.
- Flash firmware onto embedded devices and confirm version compatibility and stability.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to understand changes and refine test approaches.
- Perform regression testing after fixes and ensure issues are fully resolved.
- Support continuous integration by aligning QA practices with development workflows.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on QA experience with system logs, crash analysis, and backend tracing.
- Proven understanding of how embedded firmware interacts with hardware and mobile/web applications.
- Experience flashing firmware and verifying versions on physical devices.
- Working knowledge of Wi-Fi, BLE, or Ethernet network configurations.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as MQTT, HTTP, and RTSP.
- Practical experience in API testing, including use of tools like Postman.
- Must be located in Brazil and have legal authorization to work in the country.
