ALDO Group is hiring a Software Engineer to build and implement multi-tiered, cloud-based web solutions for our subsidiaries. In this role, you’ll be involved in everything from design and development through testing and product support, working within a highly collaborative, agile team to deliver robust and scalable systems.
What You'll Do
- Write exceptional code to solve complex business problems innovatively, applying documented technical design principles for maintainable and scalable solutions.
- Partner with QA teams to design and lead comprehensive testing efforts, ensuring high-quality product delivery.
- Collaborate with technical support to resolve complex product issues through troubleshooting and developing long-term fixes.
- Research and recommend new tools and technologies to build cutting-edge software and enhance current systems.
- Work with internal teams and external partners throughout the entire lifecycle of business solutions, from design through delivery.
- Develop loosely coupled, highly scalable software solutions that seamlessly adapt and grow with evolving business needs.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is preferred, and/or 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency with open source technologies including Python, Docker, and Git.
- Ability to work as a full-stack developer, contributing to both the front-end and back-end of applications.
- Experience utilizing front-end JavaScript frameworks, such as AngularJS.
- Demonstrated experience with event-driven architecture, focusing on building loosely coupled and highly scalable software solutions.
- Proven experience developing multi-tenant, SaaS (Software as a Service), or cloud-ready applications.
- Experience with continuous delivery practices, automating all aspects of the software development lifecycle (e.g., automated builds, tests, and deployments).
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of additional open source technologies such as Ruby, Jenkins, RabbitMQ, or NodeJS.
- Familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services).
- Experience developing location-aware applications.
- Experience developing applications capable of running in a disconnected mode.
