Alan is hiring a Software Engineer (x/f/m) - Insurance Affiliation and Billing. You will build and maintain the core systems that handle employee affiliation, payroll, billing, and HR integrations, directly impacting hundreds of thousands of lives.
What You'll Do
- Engineer the powerful employee affiliation engine that handles thousands of lifecycle events daily.
- Craft a smart multi-service payroll tool for HR teams.
- Build seamless integrations with major HR platforms like Payfit and Workday.
- Enable company HR teams through powerful automation and ship a scalable employee management experience.
- Invent the stack and flows that make billing highly reliable and delightful.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement a unified experience across multiple countries.
- Tackle high-impact & high-risk projects involving many engineers.
- Design efficient systems and engineering practices to facilitate interactions between multiple teams/products.
- Mentor other engineers & lead crews.
- Contribute to hiring and shape the technical assessment process.
What We're Looking For
- A backend engineer with an appetite for full-stack development.
- 3+ years of experience.
- Willing to dig into complex business logic related to health insurance and company operations.
- Passionate about turning complex processes into simple, elegant solutions.
- Experience building scalable systems that handle real-world complexity.
- Well-versed in Object Oriented Programming such as Python, Java, C#.
- Enthusiastic about web technologies such as modern Javascript.
- Willing to work in Python/JavaScript.
- Passionate about building products.
- Self-starting and entrepreneurial.
- Humble and still willing to grow.
- Collaborative, enthusiastic about teamwork, learning, and teaching.
- Fluent in English.
