Scalable GmbH is looking for a Software Engineer to join our Client Technology Tribe. In this role, you will enhance security for our clients through advanced authentication and KYC processes, working alongside motivated engineers to drive change in the financial industry.

What You'll Do

Work with modern software development practices like agile, self-managed teams, CI/CD, and test automation.
Engage with our cloud-native, DevOps-enabled infrastructure on AWS, utilizing services like ECS, Fargate, and Lambda.
Write clean, testable, maintainable, and well-documented code with security as a first-class citizen.
Bring products to production to reveal real business value.
Improve engineering excellence within the team.

What We're Looking For

A university degree in a relevant field or comparable practical experience.
Extensive backend experience with Java/Kotlin, JWT, Docker, Spring, AWS, Git, GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
A passion for well-architected, testable code and an agile mindset.
Strong analytical thinking in both technical and product domains.
Experience in complex software projects with end-to-end ownership building Microservices.
Practical experience with AWS or another cloud provider.
Clear, open, and concise communication skills with professional proficiency in English.

Nice to Have

Previous experience with security topics and/or DevOps.
A background in the financial industry and financial software product development.
