At Make-A-Wish, we hire innovators and doers to make lending simpler and safer. We are looking for a Software Engineer Principal to provide operational direction and governance for agile software development on our Dara Platform. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and deployment of default and special loans modules, ensuring application performance, uptime, and scale while maintaining high standards for code quality.
What You'll Do
- Engage with functional SMEs and the business to develop micro front-end and microservice-based systems that integrate with API-first architectures.
- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scalability, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design.
- Perform periodic code coverage checks and collaborate closely with the development team.
- Perform root cause analysis for bugs across all environments.
- Analyze test results post-execution and provide feedback to improve quality.
- Drive a feedback loop mechanism to ensure best software development practices are followed.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 7 years of experience in Agile project management and software design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 5 years of experience in Agile project management and software design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Experience with microservices, micro frontends, and event-driven applications.
- Experience with Azure DevOps tools.
- Experience executing and monitoring test cases.
- Experience working with Agile methodology and Burndown Charts.
