As a Software Engineer at Hogan Assessment Systems, you will be instrumental in building and supporting key products within our portfolio. This role is critical to maintaining the safety of our production environment and ensuring high-quality, well-tested code deployment.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop new, predominantly web-based applications while supporting existing products, offering process improvements, and platform reengineering.
- Work as part of a team to build next-generation products and platforms using pioneering technologies.
- Collaborate with the UI/UX team to optimize user experience.
- Work with the product team, business analysts, infrastructure team, and external vendors to gather requirements and ensure successful product launches.
- Consistently follow best security practices to secure client data.
- Stay up to date on current industry trends and technologies.
What We're Looking For
- 5-7 years of application development experience.
- Experience with Microservices Frameworks or large-scale web applications.
- Languages: C#, TypeScript, Shell scripting.
- Frontend: SPA Frameworks (Angular preferred), RxJS, HTML, SCSS, ngrx or ReduxJS.
- Pipeline/Environment: Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, Azure Event Hub & Event Grid, Reverse Proxying, VNets, Containerization, OIDC.
- Middle/Backend: Graph QL, REST, Azure Event Hub, Linux, NodeJS, ASP.NET Web API.
- Identity Access Management (IAM): Azure AD B2C, SSO, SAML, External Authorization, Claims Based Authorization, OpenID Connect, OAuth or related tools.
- Experience with Cosmos DB/NoSQL (DocumentDB) or related database models.
- Experience with the Cypress testing framework.
- Knowledge of security concepts/frameworks implementing OWASP recommendations.
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
- Proactive, team-focused, conscientious, and detail-oriented mindset.

- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Professional Scrum Developer certification.
