Luumlash is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Test to play a foundational role in building and scaling our quality systems from the ground up. You will be responsible for architecting automated test frameworks for integrated hardware and software, focusing on robotics validation. This role involves making significant contributions to our technology evolution and company growth within a fast-paced, collaborative environment dedicated to exceptional customer experiences.
What You'll Do
- Architect, build, and scale our quality systems as the company grows.
- Design, scale, and implement automated test frameworks for integrated hardware and software systems.
- Define and execute test strategies across unit, integration, and system levels.
- Integrate with and automate the testing of a large C++ code base.
- Work effectively on a small team of both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 5-7 years of experience (or the equivalent).
- Experience designing, scaling, and implementing automated test frameworks for integrated hardware and software systems, with a strong preference for experience in robotics or automation.
- Strong programming skills in C++, Python, or Rust for implementation of testing frameworks.
- Working knowledge of C++ for integrating with and automating the testing of a large C++ code base.
- Experience working in ROS2 environments.
- CI/CD experience (Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, or similar).
- Experience defining and executing test strategies across unit, integration, and system levels, with a strong preference for experience in robotics or automation.
- Working knowledge of Linux.
- Knowledge of industry standard best practices for maintainable software design.
- Excellent debugging and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively on a small team of both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Deep experience with Linux systems and tooling.
- Experience building simulation-driven validation environments.
- Experience scaling quality teams or leading SDETs.
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing systems.
- Strong C++ proficiency and solid understanding of object-oriented design.
