About the Role
The engineer will contribute to building and improving backend services that power consumer identity and authentication workflows, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and secure solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services for user authentication and identity management
- Ensure systems meet high standards for security, performance, and uptime
- Collaborate with frontend and product teams to integrate authentication features
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and knowledge sharing
- Optimize services for scalability and low latency
- Support compliance with data privacy and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to architectural discussions and system design
- Monitor system health and respond to alerts as needed
- Work with identity providers and third-party authentication services
- Implement logging and observability for backend systems
- Help maintain documentation for services and APIs
- Stay current with security best practices and emerging threats
- Participate in on-call rotations for production support

- Experience with identity and access management systems
- Prior work on consumer-facing authentication platforms
