CrowdStrike is looking for a Software Engineer to join the growing CAO Engineering Team. In this role, you will build globally distributed, fault-tolerant, and highly scalable cloud ecosystems using Golang to help detect targeted attacks as part of our mission to stop breaches.

What You'll Do

Build and enrich backend microservices, from researching areas of concern to implementing the final solution.
Leverage existing CrowdStrike tools and services to create cloud-based systems that detect targeted attacks.
Brainstorm, research, define, communicate, and build collaboratively with members across multiple teams.
Commit to continuous learning and improvement.
Maintain a strong customer focus, understanding their challenges and how to support them.
Focus on code quality through best practices, testing, logging, and metrics.
Work in a collaborative, agile environment with a small, fast-moving team.
Mentor other developers on web, backend, and data storage technologies.
Use your deep product knowledge to improve architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and stability.
Own your work autonomously in a high-trust environment.

What We're Looking For

A degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
At least 5 years of previous experience as a Software Engineer.
Deep understanding of scalability and distributed systems core concepts, including sharding, partitioning, and concurrency.
A proven team player.
A thorough understanding of engineering best practices, from testing paradigms to peer code reviews and resilient architecture.
The ability to thrive in a test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment.
The skills to meet commitments on time and produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.

Nice to Have

Existing exposure to Go, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, or Elasticsearch.
Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields.
