Applied Intuition is hiring a Software Engineer - E2E Autonomy

About the Role

As a Software Engineer - E2E Autonomy at Applied Intuition, you will enable next-generation AI research by building machine learning tools and infrastructure, managing large datasets, and solving challenges across the entire end-to-end autonomy stack. You'll work closely with AI research and engineering teams to productionize self-driving software and scale training systems.

What You'll Do

  • Build tools and infrastructure to enable large-scale E2O autonomy research led by Dr. Wei Zhan
  • Work directly with both AI research and engineering teams to productionize next generation self-driving software
  • Help scale end-to-end training by identifying bottlenecks, especially as we continue to scale our GPU compute, onroad data volume, curation efforts, and eval systems

What We're Looking For

  • Exceptional software generalist experience with ambition to contribute up and down the ML stack, onboard the vehicle, and in the cloud
  • Strong fundamental skills in software & module design: can tame chaos with libraries & abstractions
  • Rapid analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

  • Strong multi-language build system knowledge
  • Distributed systems/compute (e.g. k8s, cloud-managed services at scale)
  • ML infra fluency - has used and/or contributed to ML and large data systems

Compensation includes a base salary range of $153,000 - $222,000 USD annually, equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, and additional benefits such as learning and wellness stipends.

Work Mode

Employees primarily work from the Applied Intuition office 5 days a week, but occasional remote work is allowed. Flexibility includes starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. Office locations include Sunnyvale, California; Washington, D.C.; San Diego; Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; Ann Arbor, Michigan; London; Stuttgart; Munich; Stockholm; Bangalore; Seoul; and Tokyo.
