Voldex Games is seeking a Software Engineer to build and launch engaging features for Driving Empire, one of the top games on the Roblox platform. You will write clean, performant code and work closely with cross-functional partners to create experiences for millions of daily players.
What You'll Do
- Build and launch features that delight millions of players daily
- Write clean, performant, and maintainable Roblox Lua code
- Partner with designers, artists, and producers to craft gameplay experiences
- Debug and improve live game systems
- Improve the technical quality and maintain high standards for the game
- Playtest regularly and provide design and product feedback
What We're Looking For
- Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals and problem-solving
- Familiarity with game engines, scripting languages, and version control
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- 1+ years of Roblox development experience
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent development experience
- Experience working on game development teams
- Shipped games or features on Roblox or similar platforms
- Game jam or modding experience
- Familiarity with live game systems such as analytics, economy tuning, and balancing
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Interest in racing and car games
Technical Stack
- Roblox Lua scripting
- Backend services: AWS and Golang
- Analytics pipelines: Snowflake and Tableau
- Collaboration tools: GitHub and Discord
