We are looking for a high-agency, AI-native Software Engineer to join our team. You will design, build, ship, and continuously improve production-grade AI applications embedded into mission-critical software for utilities and broadband providers. Your work will power customer service interactions, operational workflows, and intelligent automation at scale.
What You'll Do
- Architect, develop, and deploy AI-powered features and applications using LLMs, RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and modern ML techniques.
- Take ideas from concept to production: prototype quickly, validate with users, iterate based on feedback, and optimize for reliability and performance.
- Integrate foundation models, fine-tuned models, and multi-agent systems into enterprise-grade applications in secure, scalable environments.
- Design and optimize data ingestion pipelines, embeddings workflows, and vector database implementations that support high-quality AI responses.
- Deploy AI systems that are resilient, observable, and cost-efficient in production environments.
- Ensure solutions are practical, intuitive, and aligned with the operational realities of cooperatives, utilities, and broadband providers.
- Actively explore new AI capabilities and rapidly evaluate how they can improve products and development practices.
- Partner with product, architecture, and engineering teams to embed AI capabilities across the enterprise platform.
- Follow all established software development methodologies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a software engineering role with a focus on building and shipping AI/ML applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and vector databases.
- Ability to translate ideas into production-ready features, from rapid prototyping to performance optimization.
- Experience integrating AI models into scalable, secure enterprise applications.
- A focus on building resilient, observable, and cost-efficient production systems.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and align solutions with business needs.
