John Deere is hiring a Software Engineer for its Intelligent Solutions Group to work on the Licenses Management platform. We are investing in people and technology to tackle the world's biggest challenges, like ensuring enough food, fiber, and infrastructure for a growing world. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and integrate complex features, participate in Agile ceremonies, and collaborate with other teams.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and integrate highly complex features including UI components and backend services and APIs.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently.
- Collaborate with other Licensing scrum teams to drive alignment and understanding.
- Support strong engineering practices, including code reviews, automation, CI/CD, observability, and secure coding.
- Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure reliability and scalability.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience building UI applications and REST APIs using JavaScript, React.js, and Node.js.
- Experience with TDD, Refactoring, Pair Programming, and CI/CD.
- Experience working in Agile software delivery environments.
- Experience with DevOps tools and technologies like GitHub Actions and Datadog.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Science, or Technology related discipline, or equivalent related work experience.
Nice to Have
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex issues.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with AWS services.
- Experience with AI-powered development tools like GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot.
