Role Overview
We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer (AI-Native) to strengthen our engineering team serving LATAM. In this role, you’ll design and deploy scalable software products enhanced by artificial intelligence, using modern technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, and core object-oriented languages. You'll operate within a CI/CD pipeline and contribute to a service-oriented architecture hosted on AWS, helping power learning experiences used by students and educators worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop clean, efficient, and well-documented code that supports long-term maintainability.
- Create comprehensive automated tests to ensure reliability and performance.
- Deploy and monitor large-scale web applications in production environments.
- Participate in on-call rotations, taking full ownership of systems from development through operations.
- Iterate continuously to improve code quality and system resilience.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, and designers in a fast-moving environment.
- Stay current with emerging tools and practices, especially those that accelerate development through AI assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Strong background in an object-oriented language such as Java, C++, or C#.
- Firm grasp of object-oriented design principles, algorithms, and data structures.
- Proven ability to master new technologies quickly as project needs evolve.
- Experience building and maintaining high-traffic websites.
- Track record improving SEO performance for web platforms.
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools like Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Supabase, Netlify, Vercel, n8n, Firecrawl, Bolt, Grok, and Make.

- Fluency in English is required.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with backend development and service architecture.
- Experience using deployment automation tools such as GitHub Actions or AWS CodeDeploy.
- Working knowledge of AWS services including RDS, Lambda, and EC2.
- Comfort using Linux and command-line utilities.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field is advantageous but not required.

Work Model
This is a full-time contractor position available to professionals across LATAM. You’ll work remotely within your home country, with full support for asynchronous collaboration and flexible scheduling.
