About the Role
The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain software systems that support digital accessibility, ensuring high performance, reliability, and usability across platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement software features to enhance product functionality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new capabilities
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the development lifecycle
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in existing systems
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency
- Optimize applications for scalability and performance
- Support the deployment and monitoring of software in production environments
- Contribute to architectural discussions and system design decisions
- Ensure compliance with accessibility standards in software development
- Work with APIs to integrate internal and third-party services
- Maintain documentation for code, systems, and development processes
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices
- Assist in defining technical requirements for new features
- Participate in agile development cycles including planning and retrospectives
- Improve development workflows through automation and tooling
- Collaborate with QA teams to identify and resolve defects
- Support accessibility testing and remediation efforts
- Engage in problem-solving to address complex technical challenges
- Ensure security best practices are followed in code and infrastructure
- Contribute to frontend and backend development as needed
- Help onboard and mentor junior team members
