About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Collaboration team, where you will design and develop software features for Cisco collaboration devices, collaborating with technical leaders, troubleshooting defects, and contributing to continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in the design and development of software features for Cisco collaboration devices.
  • Collaborate with senior technical leaders and engineering teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects and performance issues.
  • Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and testing activities to ensure software quality.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and adopt best practices in software development.
  • Engage in learning and applying new technologies relevant to Cisco’s device software ecosystem.
  • Develop remediation plans and alternatives to ensure timely delivery.
  • Identify and act upon opportunities to assist others.
  • Mentor peers and engineering interns.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of related experience.
  • Relevant experience in software development for network devices or embedded systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience managing and writing automation tests.

Team & Environment

You will be part of a diverse group of product managers, engineers, project managers, and UX designers.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation range of $126,500 to $182,000 (U.S. and/or Canada new hire range).
  • Eligibility to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units.

  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer.
  • Annual bonuses for non-sales roles.
  • Performance-based incentive pay for sales roles.
