Seagate is looking for a Firmware Engineer II to join our Firmware and Software Engineering team. You'll contribute to the development of embedded firmware that powers our industry-leading HDD and storage systems, solving complex engineering challenges as part of a collaborative team.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and test embedded firmware for storage devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define firmware requirements and architecture.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
What We're Looking For
- Strong programming skills in C/C++.
- Solid understanding of embedded systems and firmware development.
- Experience in secure coding practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work on-site at our Longmont, CO facility, Monday-Friday.
- A Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of experience or a Master’s degree with 0-2 years of experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Coursework or project experience in AI/ML, including data preprocessing, model training, and evaluation.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
- Knowledge of storage systems, file systems, or hardware interfaces.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
