About the Role

The Homeland Sensors and Analytics Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory develops novel technologies to detect and characterize threats for Homeland Security applications. We need a versatile Software Developer for programs involving hardware, software, and real-time data analytics.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, test, and deploy software for operational use in the field.
  • Work within a small team on programs spanning hardware, software, and real-time data analytics.

What We're Looking For

  • A BS/MS in computer science, software, or computer engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • 1-3+ years of experience in software application development.
  • Proficiency with Python development, libraries, and environments and at least one other high-level programming language.
  • Strong software design and development skills.
  • Experience with Github/Gitlab and industry standard software development tools and environments.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working within a team in rapid development cycles.

  • Service oriented or microservice architecture
  • Message bus architectures or Pub/Sub messaging (e.g., Kafka)

  • Compensation: Recent Graduate Hiring Range: $100,200 - $120,000; Experienced Hiring Range: $100,200 - $150,000
