The Hartford is hiring a Small Commercial Insurance Call Center Sales Support Specialist. This role is a key member of our Small Commercial Inside Sales Team and serves as an entry point into our Sales and Underwriting organization, with direct accountability for enabling insurance growth throughout the sales acquisition process. You'll develop foundational skills for a future career in Sales or Underwriting.
What You'll Do
- Partner with the Inside Sales Team in the sales acquisition process.
- Build leads, accept inbound calls, assign leads, and schedule call-backs to small business owners. No cold calling is performed.
- Put the customer first by building strong relationships, being responsive (including through online chat), following up on open quotes, closing the sale, and communicating outcomes to the Inside Sales Team.
- Position and sell The Hartford's value proposition, including its long standing history, payroll deduct billing model, and additional coverages.
- Support a high performing sales culture by acting with confidence, operating nimbly, and prioritizing daily work activities.

- Comfort and confidence in balancing inbound sales calls from a queue with outbound and email communications to close sales.
- Goal oriented and metric focused.
- Outstanding organization, desk management, time management, and computer skills.
Nice to Have
- Call center experience.
- Personal Insurance and/or Small Commercial Insurance experience.
- Bilingual (Spanish Speaking).

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $48,071 - $72,107.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid role open to candidates in Charlotte, NC; Clinton, NY; Hartford, CT; San Antonio, TX; and Scottsdale, AZ.
