PhonePe is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer - Systems to maintain the reliability and performance of one of our global-scale fintech platforms. Your work is crucial to ensuring our services remain always-up and always-available for millions of users.
What You'll Do
- Actively participate in the on-call rotation schedule.
- Implement best practices and IT operations to sustain an always-up, always-available service.
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration with extensive experience.
- Strong computer networking knowledge and working proficiency.
- Experience using a wide variety of open source technologies and tools, with a strong emphasis on cloud services.
- A solid background in Linux networking, including use of IP, iptables, and IPsec.
- Effective experience working with MySQL databases.
- Coding and scripting skills, preferably in Perl, Python, or Golang.
- Experience with automation and configuration management using tools like SaltStack.
- Hands-on experience with private cloud environments.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Nice to Have
- Working experience with Mariadb or Percona.
- Experience implementing cloud services on Linux using KVM/QEMU.
- Familiarity with container orchestration technology.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases, especially Aerospike.
- Proficiency in Perl and Golang.
- Understanding of Galera cluster operations.
- Experience with data center related activities.
