Kiwibank is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure our platforms are resilient, scalable, and secure. You'll work closely with engineers across Digital & Technology, contributing deep technical expertise while helping shape how we build, run and improve our systems.
What You'll Do
- Ensure platforms are resilient, scalable and secure.
- Contribute deep technical expertise and help shape how we build, run and improve our systems.
- Take ownership, tackle complex problems, and help embed reliability and quality into everything we do.
- Contribute to incident response, root cause analysis and high-risk maintenance with minimal customer impact.
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, containers, orchestration and modern CI/CD practices.
- 4+ years commercial experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a similar cloud, platform or systems role.
- Confidence working autonomously, owning solutions end-to-end and making sound technical decisions.
- Experience with Terraform and AWS, alongside GitOps and automated compliance as standard practice.
- Proven ability to contribute to incident response, root cause analysis and high-risk maintenance with minimal customer impact.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a range of audiences.
Nice to Have
- Experience mentoring or coaching other engineers.
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices in regulated or enterprise environments.
- Scripting or development experience across multiple languages.
