Coinbase is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to partner with the Infrastructure team and ensure the reliability and efficiency of our IT services. You'll build automation, enhance security, and shape the technological roadmap for our enterprise platforms.

What You'll Do

Partner with the Infrastructure team to support and extend CI/CD frameworks for IT services and enterprise network platforms.
Build surveillance tooling into deployment pipelines in partnership with security and compliance.
Design and implement automation to streamline overall operational IT support workflows.
Action Kubernetes deployment, implementation, and support.
Build a technological roadmap based on product requirements.
Participate in on-call rotations to support the AWS service deployment pipeline.
Promote a DevSecOps mentality and establish best practices for top-tier cloud security.
Set and maintain a standard of excellence for technical documentation across IT engineering.
Work within an operational environment with strict SLAs and managed incident response and disaster recovery strategies.
Facilitate incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and lead blameless retrospectives.
Define metrics and design automation opportunities based on monitoring and observability data.
Develop and maintain integrations with other systems, such as source control and build systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with internal tooling.

What We're Looking For

At least 8 years of experience supporting network infrastructure.
At least 8 years of experience automating cloud infrastructure.
Proficient in at least one scripting language such as Bash, Python, Ruby, or Go.
Proficiency with version control and CI/CD using Git.
Strong experience supporting AWS services and CI/CD workflows using Terraform or an equivalent framework.
Strong experience with configuration management systems like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Salt.
Strong experience with containers and container orchestration, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice to Have

Expertise with Linux, Bash, Ruby, Python, and/or Go.
Expertise automating EC2 or container deployments with Terraform.
Strong network security fundamentals.
Experience managing and leveraging log aggregation systems.
Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth company.
Experience in a remote-first IT environment.

Benefits & Compensation

Base Salary Range: $186,065—$218,900 USD
