Equifax is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. In this role, you will apply software and systems engineering principles to build, run, and scale our critical, distributed systems, ensuring they meet high standards for reliability and performance.

What You'll Do

Work in a DevSecOps environment to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems.
Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to create highly available, cost-effective systems with extremely high uptime metrics.
Work with the cloud operations team to resolve trouble tickets, develop scripts, and troubleshoot issues.
Create new tools and scripts for auto-remediation of incidents and establish end-to-end monitoring and alerting.
Build infrastructure as code (IaC) patterns using technologies like Terraform, cloud CLI scripting, and cloud SDK programming.
Participate as a first responder in a 24/7, follow-the-sun operating model for incident and problem management.

What We're Looking For

A BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding, or equivalent job experience.
3-6 years of experience in software engineering, systems administration, database administration, and networking.
1+ years of experience developing or administering software in a public cloud environment.
Experience monitoring infrastructure and application uptime and availability to ensure functional and performance objectives.
Experience with languages such as Python, Bash, Java, Go, JavaScript, and/or Node.js.
Demonstrable cross-functional knowledge with systems, storage, networking, security, and databases.
System administration skills, including automation and orchestration of Linux/Windows using Terraform, Chef, Ansible, and/or containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency with continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling and practices.

Nice to Have

A Cloud Certification is strongly preferred.
