Airbus Defence and Space SAU is seeking a Senior Simulation Software Engineer to join the team in Getafe. In this role, you will be integral to the definition and implementation of complex simulation architectures for critical programs including the A400M, Eurodrone, and UAS. You will work within an international, Agile environment, requiring close coordination with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Design the architecture of software modules for new simulator functionalities.
- Develop simulation models representing aircraft equipment within the simulation.
- Implement software modules, primarily using C++.
- Create and perform unit tests for software modules using C++ and Python.
- Build tools to improve development processes, such as code generators.
- Perform integration testing.
- Travel abroad occasionally, mainly within the European Union.
What We're Looking For
- A Degree or Master's in Software, Aeronautical, Telecommunication Engineering, or a related discipline.
- More than 10 years of overall experience as a Software Engineer or Architect.
- A hands-on, proven track record in simulation and software systems engineering.
- Excellent English skills at a negotiation level.
- Excellent skills in software development.
- Experience in model development.
- Experience with Training Simulators.

- Project Management skills.
- Experience in the aviation, simulation, or defence industry.
- Experience with Virtual, Mixed, or Augmented Reality.
