As a Shopify Developer & CRO Specialist, you will bridge development and conversion strategy to build and refine high-performing online stores. Your work will directly influence site speed, user experience, and sales performance, using deep technical knowledge of Shopify’s ecosystem and a sharp eye for customer behavior.
What You'll Do
- Develop and refine Shopify themes using Liquid, templates, and sections to align with brand and performance goals
- Diagnose and resolve conflicts between themes and third-party apps
- Optimize site performance, particularly mobile responsiveness and load times
- Design and execute A/B tests to improve conversion rate, average order value, and revenue per session
- Enhance checkout flows and product pages to reduce friction and boost sales
- Implement upsell, cross-sell, and bundling strategies using native and app-based tools
- Stay current with Shopify updates, including new features like checkout extensibility and international markets
- Identify quick performance gains and technical improvements within existing stores
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and leadership to align technical work with business goals
- Translate strategic objectives into functional implementations and communicate their impact clearly
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of direct Shopify experience
- Proficiency in Liquid, theme customization, and Shopify admin configuration
- Demonstrated success in improving conversion rate, AOV, and funnel efficiency
- Solid grasp of e-commerce KPIs and how technical changes affect business outcomes
- Experience planning and executing CRO experiments
- Familiarity with Shopify’s app ecosystem and technical best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Shopify Plus
- Knowledge of headless Shopify implementations using Hydrogen and Oxygen
- Background in product or project management
- Proficiency with analytics platforms such as GA4 and Hotjar
- Portuguese language ability
