Walgreens is looking for a Shift Lead to oversee store operations in the absence of store management. You'll be responsible for opening and closing the store, handling cash and systems, and ensuring a distinctive customer experience while assisting with inventory, compliance, and team coordination.
What You'll Do
- Open and close the store, including all required systems start-ups, cash handling, and ensuring the store is ready for the business day.
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by greeting, assisting, and resolving customer issues.
- Handle cash management duties, including product returns, refunds, cash drops, and providing change to registers.
- Hold store keys to open and close the store without management as necessary.
- Assist with and coach team members on the warehouse and vendor ordering process.
- Register all related sales on an assigned cash register, maintaining accurate records.
- Assist management in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics.
- Help evaluate and develop promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise displays.
- Complete resets, revisions, and maintain accurate inventory counts, including stockroom and overstock.
- Ensure compliance with the Outdate program and assist with basic department pricing and daily price changes.
- Assist with bookkeeping activities such as cash reports, counts, ledgers, and bill payment.
- Help maintain a clean, neat, and orderly store condition for both interior and exterior.
- Assist in stock rotation using the first in, first out method and restocking outs.
- Operate store systems and equipment and assist at the Pharmacy out window as requested.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
- Perform bag checks of team members and comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Complete special assignments, training, and requested PPLs.
- Serve as a liaison between management and team members, communicating tasks when management is not present.
- Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
What We're Looking For
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Obtaining and maintaining a valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position in Littleton, CO.
